Vacuist is a heavy, yet expressive progressive noise band in search of a dynamic, open-minded drummer with a good attitude. Currently our lineup is - Mica Deposit (Guitar and vocals), Stavros Aganis (Bass), Iain Standing (Guitar and vocals). We value our various differences and creative paradigms and integrate them into our sound.

We are looking for a drummer with the following qualities: 
•Skilled and dedicated to their craft 
•Open to exploring different styles (including exploring electronic textures with synths and drum machines) 
•Comfortable playing with odd time signatures (5/4, 7/8, 14/8 etc…) and sudden changes in a song. 
•Able to improvise/jam (this is our primary mode of creating initial song ideas)
•Willing to practice at least twice a week and learn music in a timely fashion

Logistics:
We have a practice room in SUM Studios in Malden MA, and plan to start regular rehearsals soon
