ABOUT

I'm into the comradery as much as I am the music. I'm a goal oriented team player that understands what it takes to keep a band together. Respecting each others time, compromising, finding common ground, following through with commitments, sharing the workload. I have a full time job so I'm not looking for a revenue stream. Seeking a working band that has legit gigs a few times a month, more is fine. When I say I will be somewhere, I get there on time. Played with the same guys for 12 years gigging 6 to 8 times a month. We had the truck, the sound team, the full PA, the light truss, the mailing list, and we made two albums. Yep, vinyl (it was the 90's). Love playing cover shows, open to playing original music. I am 51 years old so finding others close in age would be fun, but I am a young 51, so if you guys are 20-somethings, call me anyway. I have the open mind.

Influences

I will list bands that I listen to currently so you get a feel for who I am. However I listen to and enjoy playing all genres of music. For me it's more about the connection we have together, than finding guys who like similar music. Currently listening to Steely Dan, Grateful Dead, Phish, Talking Heads, Disco Biscuits, Peter Gabriel, NWA, Slightly Stoopid, Primal Scream, New Monsoon, Gomez, St. Lucia, Fatboy Slim, Queen, Stone Roses, Tears for Fears, Junip, REM, Rusted Root, Nickleback, Buckcherry..

EQUIPMENT

Perhaps the most important on any equipment list is a reliable car. I have that. A cooler, yes. Internet, yes. Cooler, yes. Cell phone, yes. Currently playing on Roland Vdrums electronic with plenty of watts if you like it loud or headfones only for keeping it down. For the right project, I'm happy to drop a $2,000 to purchase acoustic kit if needed.
