SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I want to form or join a four-piece group. Experienced musicians to play great ( FUN ) tunes to become a host band for some jam nights. Offer bar owners a 2 night per month, weeknight gig hosting a jam night. This gives bands a chance to audition for the bar owner and our group a chance to jam with other great musicians. If it goes over well, I could see doing it at 2 different clubs but not tying up a night every week to do shows. We would want a night a week to jam and record together and do the jam nights for enjoyment and to help musicians and bar owners connect. I'm talking about playing music for enjoyment, not as a business as I have done for 40 years. Lets play music for the fun of it, playing songs we like to play.

Influences
Dom Famularo, Kenny Arnoff, Terry Bozzio and a bunch of unknown drummers that I learned things from. I should mention my buddy since the High school drum line Dave Stephens, He is my favorite drummer, just as good as Dave Weckl. My musical influences are hard to say, I love great music which means I love a few songs from many famous bands and some songs from unknown bands. 80's and 90's Rock are my favorite. I learn things about my own style from every musician I play with. I do like to drive the band from the drum throne, however, I am not a fan of the overplaying drummer. I would love to include in the host band set, Gary Moore and POPA Chubby blues, Steve Miller, Night Ranger and Tom Petty rock and Newer Southern rock and rockin country. I like music with a great groove, fun, that makes you want to hit the dance floor.

EQUIPMENT
I have a custom-built Pearl shells kit on a Pearl rack. I purchased a very used kit from a guy, stripped the shells, and refinished them. All new heads and some new hardware mounted on a rack and have a nice kit for gigging as a fill-in drummer. I have all the mics, mounted and a sub mixer to use it for jam nights if we would do this. I don't care for the tiny drum-set, I'm not a slack-ass, I set this kit up every time. It only takes up a 6-foot by 6-foot square. The walnut fade drums, are in some of my pictures. I can provide PA when the time comes and am very experienced with studio and live sound engineering.
