I have played in various rock bands since I was in high school (I'm now 29). I've played lots of local shows but never toured seriously. I always kept bands as a hobby and creative outlet, but as a secondary priority to my career.
I appreciate lots of styles of music and I like incorporating elements from diverse styles. I tend to prefer to play either high-energy, technical rock (e.g. thrice) and/or groovy synth-infused dance music (e.g. dopapod).
I want to make people move when I'm playing, whether that means shaking butts or butting heads :)

I sold all of my good stuff when I moved, bad idea. I currently have a 4 string bass, 100W combo/practice amp, and a handful of effects pedals.
