ABOUT

I'm an experienced guitar player with a tour ready rig. I can play lead by I am NOT a shredder or fast player, more of a Steve Cropper than a Steve Vai. I live and play in Newport / Costa Mesa and want to jam with other players in the local area for fun and gigs if we can get our act tight. I have played everything from Stairway to Heaven with a bunch of Mexicans at a drug rehab (true), to 300 person sets at church with full production and video (every month, 3 services). I am totally willing to just gig in all black or whatever, but I'm also down to wear silly costumes or matching Onesies.

Influences

Jimmy Page, John Mayer, Dave Matthews. I studied all three for my formative training, but have also gigged in blues bands and an R&B band. I like all types of music and can hang in there for almost anything, but fast leads are just not my thing. NOTE: no ukulele bands please. If you have ONE song that has a TINY BIT of uke then that's okay, but let's face it guys. It is a toy. The ukulele is only cool on vacation when we are all drunk. Nobody likes the ukulele. Nobody.

Full pedalboard. Wah, Tube screamer, Reverb, Delay, Phaser, Loop, etc. UE monitors. Gibson Hummingbird, 1991 Fender Strat, Boutique Telecaster by Marc Rutters. I have everything I will need for myself. I show up ready to plug and play. At practice I will probably drink a Modelo. Or two. I can have people at my house (no drums) and can travel.
