The Neo-Groove Movement transcends musical categories with one goal in mind: to move listeners' minds and feet. This Washington DC-based Retro-Modern Jazz Fusion Collective is improvising and refining the stylistic crosspollination of funk, jazz, fusion, Latin, hip hop, Neo-Soul, Afrobeat, and World Groove and every groove inducing sound in between. The pioneering members of The Neo- Groove Movement are fluent in the international language of "groove." In-the-pocket drum and bass, retro-keys, colorful and vibrant horns, flavors of Latin & world percussion and intricate harmony all fuse together seamlessly under their self-proclaimed retro-modern sub-genre they call “Neo-Groove”.
