ABOUT

I am a guitarist, drummer, and bassist, and I sang lead vocals in an original band for 10 years. I am looking to collaborate with other musicians as a guitarist (and possibly vocalist) to jam, write, and record some demos and if the chemistry is right, form a band and play some gigs.
I would also consider joining an existing band as a guitarist, and perhaps as a drummer. I have played in several bands as guitarist, guitarist/lead singer, and drummer. My last gig was as a drummer and I really miss playing guitar in a band setting. My commitment level is pretty flexible. My main thing is that I play for the love of playing, and not to get signed or make a living in music. That would be cool as hell, but I want to make really, really good original music and record labels are only interested in unoriginal crap these days.
Basically, I'm pretty open to a lot of different situations, commitment levels, and music styles. I really just want to collaborate with other musicians as a guitarist again and create cool original music. As far as style, I'm way more into creating mood using strange, seductive melodies and textures (The Cure is my favorite band for this reason), than I am of shredding and melting faces and being some guitar god wannabe. The music is the ultimate end for me... not trying to impress people with what I can do technically. And while I am technically a very good guitarist, I believe feel and a good ear go much, much further when it comes to writing and playing great music.

Queens of the Stone Age
Nirvana
Soundgarden
Jane's Addiction

The Rolling Stones
I've been told by a few people my lead playing is reminiscent of Santana, who I like, but I've never owned a Santana album, so that's kind of strange.
