ok so heres the deal. I'll start with the negatives then the positives. I've never been in a band, and i have 0 actual singing experience. I also dont have a car atm so just looking for people in the Albany area to get together with.

On the bright side, I'm very dedicated, and i've been writing song lyrics since i was 15.

I'm looking to hook up with a band and see if we can get something together to do gigs and stuff. Not so much for money as for getting out there and having a good time, though money would be cool.
I'd like to start off doing just covers for a while till we all got comfortable with eachother and got to know one another, and then start breaking out our own stuff and working on that.
As far as bands i would want to cover, pretty much most of the stuff listed in my influences. definitely want to cover a lot of Collective soul.
and as for my voice, well its very untrained so i dont know how to describe it, there are some songs i have problems with cause i just can't hit those highs, but my ex once told me i sound like Sully from Godsmack.
