I am a musician of all kinds. It only allowed me to pick 3, so here's what I wouldn't do: rap, metal, rap, metal, and Whitney Houston (from "Empire Records"). I've been classically trained in guitar and have a masters degree in music composition. I've been in several rock bands (as both guitarist and keyboard). I have about 6-7 songs outlined but with no words, so if any LYRICISTS out there want to lend a poetic "hand," that would be awesome. I sing, but best as a back-up singer. I've written songs in virtually every style imaginable. My music is rather eccentric and does not fit many concrete categories. Check out my website at http://www.moogiex.com/ for more info.

I'm moving to Honolulu in August to start my PhD and would love to find gigs on weekends/no classes time.

Influences:

Moxy Fruvous, Ben Folds Five, Gentle Giant, They Might Be Giants, the Bobs, Radiohead, Weird Al Yankovic, Richard Cheese, Charles Ives, Olivier Messiaen, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chicago, Laurie Anderson, and a bit of almost every style that exists!

Equipment List:

banjo, acoustic guitar, classical guitar, nylon electric guitar, ukulele, recorder, a very cheap accordion, electric keyboard, condenser mic, small mixing board, computer with high quality mixing programs (but not portable),
