ABOUT

Hello,
I am a very experienced multi-instrumentalist/writer-composer/singer based in San Diego, California. I currently have an original project going, with a new album recently released. I played everything on the record, except drums. So, I'm looking for musicians to fill out my sound live... I only have 2 hands(unusual, I know), so I can't very well play all the instruments that appear on the album with just a drummer and myself. I would be interested in a Bassist, 2nd guitar player (ability to play both rhythm and lead would be ideal), and/or a synth/keyboard player. Being able to sing harmonies would also be a big plus!
If you'd like to check out the album to see if it sounds like something you'd be interested in joining...
The album is titled "Anywhere But Here"
And the artist is "Rip Carson"
The entire record is available for free listening on be, Spotify, and Pandora. And is available for download on .

I'm also interested in starting, or joining, a cover or tribute type of band... in order to fill up the calendar with local gigs. As I'm sure most of you know, making a living solely from original music is nearly impossible in San Diego. But, I've had success obtaining a lot of local shows with cover bands over the years. In the most successful of cover/tribute bands, we had no problem filling the calendar with 15 - 25 gigs per month. That works out to a decent living for all involved, with NO day job! I personally haven't worked a day job in over 10 years, and can't imagine ever doing it again.

I'm also very useful in the studio. Since I'm proficient at so many instruments, a lot of people will just hire me to play everything on their record... saving quite a bit of money not having to hire a different session musician for every instrument. I've appeared on hundreds of albums over the years... I can steer you in the direction of examples of this as well, on request.

Too much? Probably _) But, despite my experience, I'm not cursed with a large ego... so please, feel free to hit me up, regardless of your experience/skill level. I'd rather work with inexperienced players, than egotistical jerks. Ya feel me? I think you do
