ABOUT

"Mental Teleprosy is (or will be at the end of the world) in 2020 what Jane's Addiction was in 1990."
-USA TODAY
Look, I know I'm totally unique, weird, crazy, psycho, play guitar with my dog as a slide and a bit abstract. So don't write to tell me those things and how much you like it when you're 900 miles away. That's what myspace or facebook is for. lol. I'm not a kid. I'm 47 but look 25 and feel 70! LOL ok, 32... So...here's the deal, I need a bassist and a drummer. Great ones. Cause this music can't play it self and I've been playing it all this long an am a guitarist. I have played every instrument on the recordings you have heard, hear, or will soon. WRITE ME SQUIGGY@CINCI[dot]RR[dot]COM

Ok...here's how Mental TeLeprosy happened! :-)
Earthquake in Midwest hits Cincinnati Ohio on 4/19/2008. The quake causes a 1997 Inca Silver Fender American Standard Stratocaster guitar to fall into an Alesis electronic drum kit. Crazy sounds happen and like peanut butter and chocolate, spic and span, mold and mildew, a 1-man band forms the very next day for 4-20-2008. "The Band" dubs himself "Mental TeLeprosy" from his yahoo account name created 9 years prior. He then makes beautiful music and posts it to a website and people scream "You're a fucking idiot". Some might call this an Earthquake, or an accident...but fans call it Mental TeLeprosy. Formed 4-20-2008, Mental TeLeprosy is an all original eclectic alternative 1 member music group/band hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio USA. Vocals and lyricist/songwriter "Squiggy Wigginz" on guitars, bass, vocals, and sometimes drums. (He swears he was 'touched by Elvis' as a small child outside the Cincinnati Convention Center & will make you realize that "This is what would have happened if David Byrne of Talking Heads and Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against the Machine had a baby with Karen Carpenter.") With killer riffs, sweeping melodies and bordering on the lunatic fringe on various tracks, Mental TeLeprosy is carving out an untouched niche being compared to the the likes of nails on a chalkboard and rubbing an inflated balloon. Demented Eclectic doesn't touch it, Mental TeLeprosy is what it is. Cincinnati, Ohio will never be the same. 1 day after recording "Run to Your House" and realizing that "Wow, people actually like this?". Mental TeLeprosy is currently seeking a bassist, singer, other musicians and Drummer who are in the Cincinnati Ohio vicinity so I don't have to use laptops or footpedals to play live anymore. Here's the lowdown straight from YouTube.. Squiggy Wigginz is a Radio DJ / Voiceovers / Critic / Graphic Artist / Musician / Songwriter / Webmaster / Lyricist / Drummer / Bassist / Harmonica / Kazoo "Mental TeLeprosy" http://www.youtube.com/user/mentalteleprosy ------------ email squiggy@cinci[dot]rr[dot]com
