I have been in the music business since 1975. I went to work at Witmer-McNease Music in South Bend, Indiana for $2 an hour and loved every minute. It was a great job, we drink Chavis Regal and played poker during the slow times and the manager, Joe showed me some riffs which allowed me to make people think I was actually a really good guitar player. I got to see "Mac" McNease buy up 58' Flying Vs and Explorers like it was nothing (the first time I played a 58' Explorer it really was pure magic)! I then went on to the Mishawaka, Indiana Witmer-McNease store where I learned sales techniques from the manager Jeff, which I use till this day. Jeff was a former lead singer/guitarist for the early 60's Band "The Riviaras" ( he played on their 2nd album when the originals were all drafted) who had a #2 hit with "California Sun" .Jeff currently has a nice little bar in Mishawaka, which I try to avoid, because I have WAY too much fun when I stop in. Next at the tender age of 20 I went to work as a sales Rep for Kay Guitars. I got to travel a lot and lived by myself for the first time in Chicago. I moved back home and played in several bands . Next thing you know I jumped on the Karaoke bandwagon when it first started, opened a music store and started selling stuff on Ebay .-Jimi
