Dear Band,
I am 36 years old. I am writing to express my interest in filling the position as drummer for your band. I have been playing drums since I was 6 years old. I have played many different genres of music ranging from Country to Rock, to R+B. I have played in the Sandusky High School Marching Band, Delegation Band, Symphonic, and Concert Bands. I have also played in various churches throughout Ohio and guest drummed for other organizations. The last band I played in was called "Hidden Treasures." We formulated while attending Terra State Community College in Fremont, Ohio. The band performed on "Its Showtime at the Apollo," and also at the Juneteenth Festival here in Columbus, Ohio. The band unfortunately broke up due to conflicting moral and religious obligations.
Currently, I play at Friendship, just to keep my talent dusted off so to speak. However, it is my goal to become established with a group and receive some type of compensation for doing what I love to do. I own a 6 piece turquoise blue acoustic set complete with double bass pedal and 3 Cymbals. I also have a 5 piece Roland TD-6SX V Tour Electronic set, with 10" Mesh pads.
