Neon Magus is basically a adventure into Free Jazz/Noise Rock/Post-Punk/Experimental/Psychedelic. It is all improv based with one or two chord vamping, very much inspired by Miles Davis of the 1970s.

As of now it's a loose conglomerate of musicians all attending college in the Burlington area with no serious future plan, however we'd hope to have something more serious during the school year: performing, regular practice, recording, etc.

We're looking for a couple options as far as more musicians. An electronic/keyboard/synth element would be ideal, adding atmospherics as well as weirdness.

A set bassist for obvious reasons. Right now we been looping a bass line, which is very restricting or a couple of people have played some sessions without commitment.

As far as a vocalist--female--it'd be interesting to have someone who could improvise lines or recite poetic verse in spoken word or singing to set the mood of the music a la Damo Suzuki as apart of the improvisation.
