I'm looking to either form or join a band dedicated mostly to writing/performing/recording original music. I'd be cool with doing some covers, but I'm not looking to be in a "cover band." My influences don't necessarily reflect the sound that I'd like to go for; I'm a big believer that a band is a collective contribution by all members to yield a unique sound. A "leader" usually emerges to some extent, but I don't believe that one person should be calling the shots.
I've been buried in work too long now, and I'm dying to get back to playing with a group of like-minded people.
