I am looking for other musicians to play with. I have been playing my self-taught style of funky four string bass for about 4 years, and the time has come to find some like-minded players who share a deep love for funk/soul/rock music. I wont say i'm the fastest bassist, but I can throw down a groove a mile deep, and keep it flowing and changing for hours. I love improvisation, in all aspects, but I really think wjats going on in the "jam" scene is very exciting , as far as the music goes. I am all about playing songs and improvising and jamming on those themes. I have a very keen ear and I love how a good guitarist or keyboard player can "steer" the music on the fly. I can listen as well as play, and am looking for other musicians who want to develop their "communication" during jams. I also wish to work on this aspect of my playing. If you need a groove-happy bass player who also happens to be a funk junky, please contact me.

Influences
Some of my biggest influences are Frank Zappa, Paul Jackson (Headhunters), Rob Derhak (moe.), Mike Gordon (Phish), Jaco Patorius (Weather Report), George Porter JR.(The Meters), Victor Wooten(Flecktones), Flea (RHCP), Kai Eckhardt(Garaj Mahal). Bands I like are moe., Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Little Feat, Frank Zappa, Garaj Mahal, Galactic, The Dead (mostly Phil Lesh), Maceo Parker, Talking Heads, and pretty much anything with a great driving dancable bassline.
