I've been giving guitar and bass guitar lessons lately. I checked "yes" under studio musician although I have never done studio work, I would definately be open to it.
Perhaps strange for a guitar player, I don't really know or desire to know a lot of songs. Rather, I concentrate on mastering and improvising with as many different scales (including modals) and chords as I can, and on emulating as many different musical styles as I can. If I were to join a band or pick up some studio work, of course I'd be able to quickly learn whatever songs are required. I do read both tabs and standard sheet music.
The genre list is limited to three choices but actually I play metal, rock, blues, bluegrass (on banjo), folk, classical, spanish and Irish jigs.
By the way, if anybody teaches Bagpipe lessons, I would love to learn and would be happy to trade lessons or work out some other deal.

I just got a job, which I'm very happy about because now I can pay my bills, but it is 3rd shift and includes Friday and Saturday nights so I probably wouldn't be a terrific candidate for joining any bands that expect to play weekend gigs at this time......sorry.

Influences:

Kiss, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, VanHalen, Motley Crue, Cinderella, Randy Rhodes, Zakk Wylde, Joe Satriani, Depeche Mode, Rush, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, Billy Gibbons, George Thorogood, Ritchie Blackmore, Paul McCartney.....
and on the softer side....
Bach, Beethoven, Paul Simon, Elvis,.....and especially Sinead O'Connor
Most of this stuff was considered controversial or even dangerous when it first came out....ahhh the good ol' days....now most of it is known as classic rock, classic metal or hair metal. What's in a name anyway???
And yes....Sinead O'Connor was also considered controversial and dangerous when she started...so there!!

Equipment List:

Jackson electric, Schecter acoustic/electric, Banjo
