ABOUT

songwriter and musician playing all instruments and original material …...check me out at patrick jaross (solo) at Reverbnation.com, or on my Bandmix song list......I am currently developing a small rehearsal studio to house a nine-piece band consisting of myself as songwriter, lead guitarist, and other instruments. I have secured an L.A. studio-seasoned sax player, a versatile guitarist, a banjo, and mandolin player and am currently seeking a solid, tight, and creative drummer; a very accomplished keyboard player; a bass player who can measure up to the talent of my son who has now surpassed that of Jaco Pastorius; and three ethnically diverse female backup singers who can double on percussion and brass (Trumpet, Trombone, and ??.I anticipate that the studio will be completed by mid-February and that rehearsals will begin by the end of February 2024. My aim is to have this band (PJ and JEM) take Eugene and the region by storm and tour with a name band showing them up as Hendrix did with the Monkees back in the day. A solo tour following this exposure may be a possibility. If you find my music and the band idea to your liking, please contact me at Bandmix...Many thanks in advance for your consideration. P.S. My musical training also includes a bachelor's degree in Music Composition and Clinical Psychology from Southern Oregon University, a Masters's degree in Arts Management (emphasis on performing arts therapy, music composition, and clinical psychology; and P.hd study in music composition, expressive arts therapy and community planning. I also completed a Choral Music Composition series under the composer Paul Christiansen at Concordia Choir College in Moorehead, MN. Work as Managing Producer / Developer of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and various other performing arts organizations in Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Omaha, NE; Seatle, WA; and Portland, OR.in addition to work as a General Manager / New Properties Developer with Marriott and Hilton for 25 years which included booking name entertainment for resort properties I was responsible for overseeing. On top of full-time work as a songwriter and musician, I spend time as a music and visual arts therapist and mental health support specialist. Yes, I am also a painter of abstract impressionism working with acrylics on canvas. I suppose I should also mention that I am very enthusiastic about studio recording to move beyond what I do on my computer with a XR Producer III application.
