ABOUT

I am 62, so I don't play late hours often, don't do loud thrashing stuff and am seeking extremely competent musicians to work with only. Although I am self-taught, I authored a book on guitar-centric music theory review-able at .theguitarexplained. I have played with many famous bands and am also a music composer, winning 4 Daytime EMMY awards in my past. I mainly play solo jazzy guitar at this point, doing my own arrangements of Beatles, etc. But I am seeking other great musicians within 50 miles of Cedar Rapids to gig with. I would travel for very well-compensated gigs and am open to queries about gigs that pay a minimum $150.00 locally.
In addition, I played with jazz legend Larry Coryell for 5 years and will be doing a duo with acclaimed bassist Mark Egan soon. I got married to a woman from Iowa, so that's why I'm here.
I am also seeking serious students.
Also, I am a graphic artist and do work for many bands with posters, banners, photo fixes, cd design (see my photos, I did all of them) and whatever you need.
