are willing to sing and/or harmonize with me. I know lots of folks who jam, but I haven't found the right people I want to record an album with. I am still seeking devoted and talented musicians who meld with my unique style and commanding stage presence (I'm a 6ft tall strong Amazon), unafraid to take charge on some songs, and at other times, compromise... I am an old soul who sings, "Wit' a lot of SOUL"- I have been told a female version of Dave Matthews Band, a little like Nora Jones and a whole lot like Joss Stone and Amy Winehouse.. I am sultry and Intelligent and LOVE Spoken Word Poetry. So, if you think you might enjoy a musical meeting of the minds, please feel free to make contact...Unless,of course, you are a prima-donna or flakazoid, in which, I would prefer to avoid any such encounters. I love Zero-7...I saw their singer, Sia, and she is amazinG!!!; AIR, Portishead, Groove Armada, Sound Tribe Sector Nine, Stereo lab, GOTAN Project, BECK, DJYOUDJME, Ween, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper,SCI & Kellar Williams, Luna, Dave Matthews Band,PHISH, Doors, PINK FLOYD, Led Zep...of course classic rock KT TUNSTALL, Ani DiFranco, Scissor Sisters, Corrine Bailey Rae, AMY WINEHOUSE - any and all Blues, Soul, funk and MOTOWN- esp. Curtis Maefield and Marvin Gaye...Jazz- from Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Steely Dan to Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holiday and of course, Satchmo (Louis Armstrong- he inspires my rough bluesy tone)... WORLD: Sekou Sundiata, King Sunny Ade of Nigeria, FLAMENCO like Gypsy Kings, Tabla, Sitar and any eccentric esoteric sounds... really, i am down with almost everything- MUSIC IS DIVINE & Connects US ALL!
