ABOUT

I am a 64 year "young" man. I live in Manhattan, KS, whose primary instrument are the drums, I started learning to play the drums in 1970 and I'm still playing them. Although my music actually started around 1965, when I started learning to play the piano in 1st grade. But, as I mentioned, the drums is my first passion and love.

I've had 3 bands(One In High School, One In the Navy and One in the 80s ). I"ve played in an orchestra, jazz/big band, Concert Band(in High School), church band(English and Spanish services).

My genre includes: 40s - early 80s from classic rock, classic country, swing/big bands, some jazz, some R & B, 70s disco, and others.

I have also played the Timpanies, Congos and some other percussion instruments.I would love to learn to play the Steel Drums.

I don't smoke, drink or do drugs. I would like to travel and play throughout the USA.

I would be interested in learning and playing new music/songs, depending on the venue. Even though I'm interested in playing covers, etc., I would like to be able to have our own sound and music.

I clicked on: "UNSPECIFIED" for the "Practicing" due to the fact I don't really have a place to practice. I live in a Senior Apartment complex, which makes it hard because I have to keep the volume/noise down. I can't practice like I want. Plus, the apartments are quite small, and with everything we have, my wife and I, it makes it hard to move around, more so if I have my drums set up. Now, if there is ANYONE that would have or knows of a place that I can use to practice and possibly keep my drums there, I really would appreciate the help.

I would like to do some traveling as I mentioned, and play at various locations and venues, but unfortunately I don't have a vehicle, so I would need someone to pick me up.
