I've always played piano by ear, but just took the time to learn basic theory in 2012. Since then, I played with a basement band for about once a week for two years. I have never performed, but would be excited to try it. I would prefer to write music with a fellow musician, but cover music would be good practice too.
Skill wise, I can pick up on virtually any chord progression within five minutes or so. Specific runs take longer, but I learn quick when I'm dedicated, and having another musician to keep me accountable with consistent practice speeds things up,

Influences
I mostly listen to indie rock, but am certainly influenced by some classic rock, folk, and even enjoy rap/hip hop. I really dislike country music, but could put up with it now again.
