The Jeff Jacobs Band was formed in San Antonio by veteran musicians Jeff Jacobs and Nathan Schmidt in the winter of 2012. Both were in previous Texas bands such as Vendetta Mine, Distorted Reality, Thumbs Revenge, and Jeff Lubin and the Jtrain. Jeff and Nathan wanted to form an original band unlike what they have been hearing in the scene. Jeff posted an online ad looking for musicians. CJ Gore (Rockus Circus, The Standouts) answered the ad and Jeff went to see him perform. Jeff then invited CJ to take part in a jam session with Nathan and himself. The three hit it off and were ready to get the train down the tracks. Shortly after words Gil Ramirez answered the same ad and joined the group. He was a perfect fit. The guys rehearsed a handful of times and felt that something was missing from the group. Jeff decided to call up his friend and former band mate Jeff Cox. After one rehearsal the group knew he was the right man for the job. The Jeff Jacobs band continues to rehearse and is taking their show on the road. The group will also be releasing an EP within the next few months. This is a group that breaks through genres and you will definitely want to keep your eye on them.
