ABOUT

Hi, its just about to where I am ready to do something.
This is the final phases of not being ready.

I am first of all going to do a 4 song demo with covers of Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention songs. Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention are foremost among the British folk rock bands. I am going to want to be with people who like that music.

However, my main emphasis is going to be in heavy metal.

My training is in Indian Ragas.

What holds me back is only that I have to catch up on holding down my current memorized repertoire. I have many Indian compositions which are technical practice pieces more for practice than for concerts. I have also many Indian raga compositions, where, in the raga, you mostly improvise but you have a few lines composed which are for the refrains. Its very interesting. I also have some Western compositions which are technical practice pieces, though, perhaps they could be played in a concert. There is one devotional Indian music piece which I am picking up right now and I must carry that piece, which is good for concerts - this is the only song I have currently which I am going to probably perform rather than use for practice only. And there is one Judas Priest song that is Exciter which I currently hold onto, though not at full speed, and I can dust it off and play it in a concert, but it would most likely be done in a set as a companion to the devotional piece. In these two pieces I am also practicing with vocals included. I have added the last of the pieces to my practice repertoire, it will take me surely 6 months to stabilize, and feel comfortable holding onto what I have. I am continuing with Indian Raga lessons, but I am not going to take on any new composition material until the Steeleye Span project is underway in earnest, because even now I am chipping away at it already in my spare time.
