Band to Join, Steel guitar, Dobro, Fiddle, Mandolin, Banjo, Other, Background Singer, Piano, Keyboard, Drums, Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar.ABOUT
Looking for musicians for three (3) projects currently:
1) a single two-song (or more if u want) gig Sunday, August 7 with Steel guitar, acoustic guitar, and/or piano Wildwood for a birthday surprise party
2) Band members to play the big stages around Iowa and Illinois (mostly Eastern Iowa) as primarily a cover band, but would love to throw in some songwriting/originals. Music will be Country (current, 90's, & classic), & mix in some rock or other flavor. Up for suggestions. Set lists driven by leads, but 100% willing to take direction from accomplished musicians who have preferences that fit vocal styles/genre.
We have; Accomplished, Lead male/female vocals would be covered, but welcoming an occasional lead & harmony vocals as instrumentalists. Outstanding drummer. Seeking; Lead guitar, bass guitar, steel guitar, & rhythm guitar with possibly fiddle, keys.
Would need to start with 3-4 "audition" or lower paying gigs, but planning to stick to larger payouts (I already have connections), private parties (paid), or benefits. November - March; looking to book 2-4 nights/month, mostly Saturdays. April-July; looking to book 2-6 nights/month. August- October looking at 1-2 nights/month, Saturday nights only.
3) An occasional musician or musicians to accompany for church worship (guitar, keys, etc.) based on availability.

The BIG project (#2) will be a process. I want to gather candidate interest over the next few months. Once we have a good list of candidates, I will invite for initial auditions. You will receive two (2) songs to prepare, as well as another song of your choice to play/sing solo or with our drummer & vocalists. An informal interview will accompany the audition; simple bio, goals, experience, schedule availability, etc. Either a decision will be made after the initial audition, or a call-back audition requested.

Must have your own instrument, cabinet, and accessories.
We will eventually pay a sound technician, so if you have a full blown system that would supplement payout.

This is it. Are you on the list? The final group will be selected and notified of upcoming rehearsals. Expect a meeting or two, and 3-4 weeks of homework to prepare the initial songlist.
This BAND could be playing on stage between July 2010 and August 2010!!
Final audition candidates will be choosen. If you made it this far, you are now one step closer to being part of Iowa's BIGGEST ACT!! Now, we are simply looking for the committment and talent. By the end of May, we should have the GROUP that will be on the stage.
Get on board now. Even if you are considering being in a group, changing
groups, or have any interest. We will carefully select candidates based on experience, goals, musical interest, committment, personality, and instrumentation. Once we narrow the search to 3-10 candidates for each position, we will have auditions.
