Jerry’s longtime passion for music was nourished by his childhood in Flint, Michigan, where the musical explosion of the 60s and early 70s fueled his interest and provided him with great inspiration.
The drums entered 10 year old Jerry’s life on a breeze through his bedroom window: a neighborhood friend rocking out on a drum kit!
Jerry soon followed suit. He studied music and sought to experience and perform a wide range of musical genres from orchestral to jazz, rock, country, pop, homegrown blues and more.
In over 50 years in the entertainment industry, Jerry has played drums and percussion with many renowned international and local artists including Thin Lizzy, Phyllis Hymen, The Allman Brothers, Tail Dragger, and Broward Symphony Orchestra.
He’s worked in professional theater: Godspell, Grease, The Who’s Tommy; and he’s collaborated on television and radio shows with PBS, Univision, WLRN and more.
Jerry’s lifelong commitment to upholding the highest standards in his work has resulted in remarkable performances around the world, from Massachusetts to Hawaii, Germany, Hungary, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Curaçao, and the Bahamas.
For Jerry, music and rhythm have always been a source of joy and personal growth shared through performance and teaching.
