Play traditional Chicago, Delta, Swing, Jump and West Coast blues and 50's rock n' roll. I also play slide guitar in open D & E tunings.

Looking to join or form a band who plays dynamically and knows the meaning of the word "ensemble" and understands not to play over the vocalist. Its' about the song and most importantly, the vocalist. (See: Mark Dufresne of Roomful of Blues; I played with him for over 3 years in Seattle in another blues band) I've been fortunate to have sit-in, jam and play with some renown harmonica players/vocalists in Seattle: Steve Bailey, Mark Hummel, John Hodgkin to name a few. I've played in a full-time working blues band. I've played with a wide accompaniment of instruments- Sax (tenor /alto/bari), Harp, Keyboard & Piano and other guitarist. As much as “soloing” is fun, perhaps more I really dig playing the essential, unique and "the cool" fills/parts/rhythms of the song.

I did the bookings and managed the promo as well (a boat load of work!)

I also manage an architecture practice and enjoy it; so yes, I have a "Day Job". I am not looking to gig 5-6 days a week. I would like to play out 2 weekends a month and festivals. I got my “%hit together”, no substance abuse, ego or other issues. Know what I like to play and have gigged too much to waste my time on noodle or knuckle heads. I won’t waste your time either.

Most of all I play the blues because I love it and get great enjoyment and fun out of performing for others live.
