ABOUT

Memphis -born rapper K*B, has upper management written all over him.Born in this world by the name of Neco Allen, he came from the very bottom and has worked honestly to make his way to the top.Meeting a producer and studio manager by the name of BIG GUS, K*B reviewed a brief contract and was now an artist under the label, BUD OUT RECORDS. K*B formed a group by the name of the FIELD BOYZ which consisted of a group of five local artist. In the mean time, the group released thier first debut mixtape, THE STARTING FIVE. Which hit the streets of Mempihis in 1997.Shortly after that K*B departed from the group due to altercations and some descression of the record label. K*b became an independent artist after departing the label. K*B quotes "I mean, I left the group because certain people wanted to do things differently then what was already planned which no one told me anything about it . So i decided to split"

Show after show, and song after song, K*B bacame well known in his community, and different cities as well. One day at this particular show at Frayser high, K*B met an artist by the name of Trouble. The two artist had a brief discussion about a callaboration and went seperate ways. While K*B was in the process of making a song called Chain On My Neck, Troubled decided to pay him a visit. Many issues where dicussed, so K*B featured him on the song. It didn't take long for promoters to recognize the two artist because popularity was by thier sides. So the name Trap Squad was founded by K*B and the two artist ran with it.K*B quoted " As Trouble would say, We are next to blow the city" So they did. Being in the number one spot the two of them blew thorough many crowds! K*B said it's like a dream come true. There as a sligh downfall between the two because of rumors and much more. All good things must come to an end so they seperated.

K*B came up in grimy North Memphis and now resides in a new sud divison called Cordova,TN. Then on, the independent artist shoped around for equipment. Entering the Guitar Center,K*B met another producer by the name of Mike Norwood (who owns Knight Vision Records)has worked with many big named artist. K*B states " When Mike and I talked things over I knew from there on that my life was made much easier than before. I respected him, and he respected me in return" So Mr. Norwood made gave K*B a number to reach him on and dreams became a reality. The walls of the studio are plastered with the best insallation studio foam and thousands of dollars of professional equipment, flyers, advertisements, and publicity posters for his new album, Take Notes. A pile of lyrics and writing are stacked neatly on the desk of his room where he writes most of his music, right between the giant mixing board know as THE PROJECT MIX and a pair of KRK studio monitors. The journey has been long and rough for this young man, but dedication, hard work, time, compassion, and the love for music is going to pay off in the end.... Talent and persona is going toput him as one of Hip Hop’s most aprreciative commodities.
