ABOUT

What we are:

We are an established female fronted band which dabbles into the realm of industrial and metal, without committing ourselves exclusively to the "genre trap". We market ourselves more on our approach to the music and general attitude/personas, leaving the stylization of the music to properly serve the purpose of the song, which typically ranges from bitter satire and rage, to raunchy sexuality. Sometimes political, some times obnoxious for the sake of being obnoxious, sometimes personal and introspective, sometimes bordering on performance art, but always honest and never compromised. Our performances are dramatic and sometimes theatrical.

Just to illustrate: Our influences range from Frank Zappa and Mr Bungle, to KMFDM, Kraftwerk and Rammstein, to Manowar and Megadeth, to Spinal Tap, to Modest Mussorgsky and Igor Stravinsky, to Sisters of Mercy and Bauhaus, to George Clinton, Michael Jackson and Rick James, to Devo, to Miles Davis and John Coltrane to the Sex Pistols and Dead Kennedys, to NWA and Public Enemy. How's that for diversity?

What we're looking for:

Someone who's got a fair amount of versatility. Preferably someone who can handle anything from heavy metal riffing and soloing, to jazz guitar, to simple punk riffs and can do it without sounding artificial/emotionless. Someone with a good attitude, who wants to play around with music, have a great time doing it, stir up trouble, and do it as loud and over the top as possible. A thirst and passion for music that is fueled by adversity and the normal Rock and Roll bullsh*t world, rather than becoming discouraged by it. Someone who can play to a drum machine is essential. Being able to hold an intelligent conversation couldn't hurt either, since we'll be spending a lot of time with each other.

What we're not looking for:

Junkies: We are 420 friendly, but are not interested in working with someone who's got habits that effect their ability to be a functioning member of the band or a reasonable human being. If you're the sort of person who wants to be blazed out of your mind 24 hours a day, and thinks that throwing up drunk in the bathroom before a show is a great idea, thanks but no thanks.

Flakes: We've all got problems, busy schedules, day jobs, and all of that lot. Let's just say, if you're the kind of guy/girl who can't show up to shows, recording sessions or rehearsals, and never seem to have the time to do any promotion, you may not be what we're looking for. We're all in this together, and so everyone needs to do what they can so that we can all be big rock stars with gold swimming pools and private harems one day.

Deadbeats: It takes money to operate a band. One person carrying that burden isn't likely to get us anywhere. We all need to do what we can as a well oiled machine to keep moving forward, rather than drowning in stagnation. None of us are rich, but we do what we can, and the more chips in the pot, the more we can accomplish, which is to all of our benefit.

Inflated Egos: We all know you're awesome, but stop trying to metaphorically wank-off all the time to prove it.

People who take themselves too seriously: We're artists, not brain surgeons. If we aren't having fun with what we're doing, what's the point?

The easily offended: You wouldn't last 3 minutes.

Fear of experimentation: If you have a very narrow idea of what your "tone" has to be, and what your "style" has to be. You might not be right for us. Each member adapts and develops as the songs take shape. Maybe that "fat tone" might be right for one song, but not for another. Maybe playing something perfectly surgical might ruin the soul of one song, but be required to pull off another.

If this sort of thing floats your boat, throw me an email and we'll shoot the sh*t and see if we're a good fit.
