Hey guys. My name is Randy Alan, looking for a backing band to play some shows around the Pittsburgh area, North West PA, and anywhere else we could go. Country music is my main genre, my style is has more of a traditional influence with it but also ad-hears to modern influence country is now. Comparing the sound I want to today's artists, would be more so like Easton Corbin, Dierks Bentley, Rodney Atkins...you have the drums and electric guitars, but you also have steel guitar in there or even dobro/mandolin, perhaps a fiddle too. I've been really influenced by traditional stuff, but I also have a side of me that likes to rock out once in a while, main thing is the melody there. Bluegrass is something I'm really into as well, maybe break in down during a set and go acoustic. Anyway you get the picture of what I'm going for. I hate to limit the demographic here, but I don't have a car down here in Pittsburgh since I'm a student at Pitt, so if we do manage to form something together we might have to look for a place to practice/jam, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Would love to meet some guys who love country music for what it is and the story telling of it and put something really great together. I've been on CMT on the show The Singing Bee, and I've been the grand prize winner of singing contest with Josh Turner where I was honored on the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville in Aug 2012. I'm 22 years old and a student here at PITT, but I have the great pleasure of being friends with some well known Grand Ole Opry member as well as music industry friends who are working with today's artists on the radio. It's all about relationships in the music world as many of you know, hoping to make a few here in the area. Thanks for taking the time to check this out everyone!
