Moxie is in such short supply these days…and it takes a lot of moxie to perform Classic Rock. Honest, simple, basic, and widely understood, Classic Rock grabs you and lifts you above everything. Never just a fad or flash in the pan; it has withstood the test of time.
The details:
We are currently looking for vocalists, guitarists, keyboardists, and drummers who want to be a part of a project/band that makes good music and aspire to perform in venues that are copasetic to the Classic Rock genre. As far as this project is concerned Classic Rock is defined by the radio format which developed from the album-oriented rock (AOR) format in the 1970s. It’s a genre of music that is identified by a guitar-driven rock sound with a particular era of time. This era began in the early 1960s and ended in the early 80s. It is not glam rock, heavy metal, or hair metal. This would include but not be limited to groups such as:

Since some great rock came out of the ’90s, we’ll include some Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, etc., who exemplified the guitar rock concept.

What You Have to bring to the Table
The “home base” of this group will be Lafayette. Open to performing elsewhere, but rehearsals will be based here.
Age is not as important as your maturity level.
Must be able to commit to a couple of rehearsals a month. This includes being able to prepare agreed material prior to rehearsal. Being able to gig once a month or every other month would be awesome. Not trying to become the next national touring band; just want to get out and enjoy the fruits of the labor and make a few dollars as well.
