My name is Rich Emslie.

I have been playing for little over 9 years. I am from Mufreesboro,Tennessee (USA)

I've learned to play all styles. Lately I've grown into playing modern Jazz,but never forgetting the Rock feel where I started. When I was fourteen I started work on my own studio. This summer I finished before I turned 17. Not considing myself new. I indeed use 8-Track,and other vintage forms of recording.

Stepping away from the whole band scene two years ago. I now record my own music,and play in a local Jazz band at school.

My Hero's are a wide range of fellows that I have grown up with. If I wasn't listening to Max Weinberg play with The Boss. I was following Liberty Devitto hammering away with Billy Joel. Seeing Joey Kramer twice with Aerosmith also helped me determind. Drums is what I wanted to study,and focus on. As for most Rock Drummers. John Bonham had that lasting thought in my mind,and newer drummers such as Taylor Hawkins,and Matt Cameron are among my top favorite. As I grow older in my playing.

Snare: 14" x 6" Ludwig Supraphonic is my main snare played with Remo Emperor X,or standard Emperor. I also own a Mapex Chrome,Pearl Session Custom,and Pacific Company Stock snare. All coated with standard Coated Emperor.
