ABOUT

I am a drummer of 51 years seeking down to earth, conservative musicians to play music with. I am a jazz, jazz-rock, funk drummer seeking musicians interested in forming a band to play original music along those lines, often in odd time signatures and complex time signatures. I am also interested in possibly forming a classic bebop and swing band with keyboards, woodwinds, brass, bass guitar, rhythm guitar and drums. Let's see if we have that magic. If you love music, God and America then call me at 406-607-5312. I'm very interested and open-minded to all musical ideas. I am not interested in being a click track or a personal metronome for a self proclaimed "lead guitarist" who can't count time. I don't have the time for political correctness or the inane, banal sophism of the social justice warriors. I don't want anything extraordinary but just a bass player, for starters who wants to jam and play upbeat music in 7/8 and sh*t.

Influences

Bands I grew up listening to are: Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Emerson Lake and Palmer, King Crimson, Rush, Buddy Rich, BrandX, Weather Report, Jazz Messengers, Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, George Duke, Bruford, Herbie Hancock, The Who, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and many, more similar bands, or other bands that were made up of members of the aforementioned bands. I just threw out a random sampling of the variety of bands I liked listening to, and the list is nowhere near complete and in no special order just as they popped into my head, and I thought that was good enough to let people know what kind of drumming I’m into.

Drummers that have influenced me most are: Gene Krupa, "the father of drum set drumming", Buddy Rich, Ed Shaughnessy, Carl Palmer, Phil Collins, Bill Bruford, Tony Williams Virgil Donati, Papa Joe Jones, Art Blakey, Danny Carey and too many more to even list here.
