Hello, I am a drummer at the seasoned age of 50. I have played in function bands, 50’s bands, Country bands, 11 piece show bands, and I have had a shot at the road, so I think you get the picture. I am no Keith Moon, Neal Pert, or John Bonham but I consider myself a very tasteful drummer. After playing DJ for a few years I want to get back behind my kit. I just bought a new kit (DW Pacific 6 piece/Zildjian), so now I am ready to play. I understand dynamics; when to play and when to lay back, when to use brushes (yes, brushes). I have a great attitude, excellent sense of humor, will do what it takes to be professional, and I am very dependable. Also, I assure you I will be committed to one band. I am looking for a band that wants to have fun, and enjoy the music. I would love to find an established function band, or an established Country band as that is what I enjoy the most. Sorry (and this is where I always nose-dive) no vocals just a plain “old?” drummer. I would like to stay in the greater Lowell MA / Nashua NH area mostly for commuting to rehearsal purposes. I am available any night of the week for rehearsal and I do not mind getting together once / twice a week. As far as gigging goes, I am wide open but would enjoy a weekend off here and there.
