ABOUT

Rie Daisies is a 24 year old lyricist and musical composer from the good ol? mitten state, Michigan. In her short time here on Earth she has been a cleaning lady, an activist, a hairdresser, a model, a secretary, and has even done her stints as a villain and as a martyr. Most recently her personal story was featured in an educational article exploring the role of music and creative expression in her experiences as a transgender student, which has been receiving a considerable amount of attention within the academic community. Through out this all, the one thing that has remained constant has been her passion to express herself in a tangible way by combining her written words with her musical arrangements. She plays a plethora of wind instrument including the flute and clarinet, as well as percussion, piano and the autoharp. With three self-released EP?s under her belt she is now working on her first full length, self-produced album and was recently invited to Boston by music industry professionals to record a polished demo.
