ABOUT

Singer/songwriter looking to join or form a rock band. I’ve been singing and writing for a few years now after being inspired by The Doors movie and the wild life of frontman Jim Morrison. I’ve always had a big influence in classic rock like The Stones and 70s and 80s bands, especially AC/DC because of my dad, but my mother was huge into the 90s grunge movement and early 2000s alt. But after Lil Pump and the other bogus rappers started coming up, I completely disregarded all new music and focused my learning and experimenting with all of the 60s, 70s, a little bit of the 80s and the 90s rock. I have a lot of music on my and I go by River Flow. Check me out. I tend to write better than I sing but my deep baritone vibrato with the raspy grunge sound mixed with haunting eagle like screeching screams are like nothing you’ve ever heard before. The best example I can give is a mixture between Elvis and Kurt Cobain. I also shake a lil tambourine and mess around with the harmonica from time to time. Let’s start a rock band a make a million bucks ey?

Influences

I have a very wide range of influences and I’m normally not into the mainstream but I’ve gotta say a few of my biggest ones are definitely The Doors, Black Sabbath, Pearl Jam, Oasis, and Greta Van Fleet.

Singer influences:

Morrison of The Doors
Ozzy of Black Sabbath
Cobain of Nirvana
Layne Staley of Alice In Chains
Chris Cornell of Audioslave
Bon Scott of AC/DC
Roger Daltrey of The Who

Band influences:

The Doors, Black Sabbath, The Who, The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Billy Squier, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Van Halen, Cinderella, Audioslave, Nirvana, The RHCP, Green Day, Blink, Matchbox 20, 3 Doors Down, and even some Of Mice & Men, Asking Alexandria, and Sleeping With Sirens. Anything beyond that point is pretty much rubbish other than the newer “classic rock style” bands, like Greta, Dirty Honey, The Revivalist, Briston Maroney, The Struts and Sunrose.

EQUIPMENT

-Shure Sm58 mic and a few other mics

-Behringer 12 input mixing board with 100 effects

-Shitty 15in Total PA speaker with mic inputs and effects. Does the job but it’s more for big events like graduations, not a stage monitor.

-And a bunch of other misc. items.

But that’s pretty much my equipment. I’m looking into getting a Behringer stage monitor but right now I don’t really need one until I start doing gigs.
