I'm a 35 year old guitarist/vocalist from Somerset, NJ. I have a drummer and a lot of songs and now we need a couple more people to fill out the band. First, a bassist, and then if possible a lead guitar and/or keyboard player. Backup vocals would be great too.
If you want to just learn songs I have bass and lead guitar parts written for most of them but you would certainly be welcome to add/subtract as you see fit, or to bring your own riffs/songs in for us to work on.
Right now we would like to record an album and play some shows and see how it goes. Practice would be like once or twice a week but we have regular jobs and family and stuff too so it's not a big pressure thing, we're just having fun, and just want to record and play out because it's also fun and because we love our songs and want people to hear them.

Influences
Among my very favorites: The Beatles, Ween, Soundgarden, Guided By Voices, The Smiths, Polvo, Alice in Chains, My Bloody Valentine, Pink Floyd, Pavement, Queens of the Stone Age, Mars Volta, Cage the Elephant, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
My main favorite eras/scenes are late 60s/early 70s rock (The Kinks, The Who, Neil Young, David Bowie, etc.), 70s punk/post punk (such as Iggy and the Stooges, Johnny Thunders, Richard Hell, Joy Division, Wire), and 90s grunge and alternative (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, The Pixies, My Bloody Valentine, many more of course).
I like a lot of other stuff too but my music is probably closest to those groups. I try to keep it fairly varied within that.
EQUIPMENT
2 electrics, 1 acoustic, 1 bass, some amps, an e-drum kit, a couple PA speakers, some mics and other recording stuff, some pedals.
