SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist - Tenor, Vocalist - Soprano, Bass Guitar, Drums, Trumpet, Saxophone, Vocalist - Alto, Upright bass.ABOUT
I've been playing guitar for over 30 years and a semi-professional bandleader for 13 of those. I play a mix of jazz, rock, pop and I also sing lead or backup vocals. My secondary instrument is drums - I am an amateur drummer and handle drums for rock/pop/funk, but nothing too complex. My focus on drums is keeping it simple and at a reasonable volume, which, in my opinion, puts me ahead of about 40% of other drummers. I also dabble on the piano. I'm looking for other musicians who are of the high-intermediate skill level like myself and preferably ones who have a day-job so that they don't depend on music for money. Not that I won't try to make money (I am a consummate businessman), just that I am an engineer by day and cannot be a full-time musician. I would (eventually) like to form a band to play a wide variety of genres, work on original material, and play public/private gigs once or twice a month. Lately I've been more interested in playing drums with a novice to average skill-level band so that I can get more practice drumming behind people. Chris dot Rockett at "jee-male" dot com
