searching for musicians + Band in Columbus, OH

ABOUT

Hello, I attended OSU for piano and music theory, I produce music of varying kinds on ableton and pro tools. I play piano, drums, guitar, bass, and occasionally sing. I grew up in Utica, NY. I've been back and forth between Canton (NE Ohio) and Columbus since I was 17. I am looking for like-minded musicians to play some of the pieces I've composed live. I would love to hear your musical history/frustration/successes, so I will tell you mine. I played piano since I was 4, and never stopped composing, won a composition prize at age 10 etc. During the tumultuous teen years I was utterly transfixed by Radiohead and Bjork. I started out in college hoping to be a composer. The Columbus Symphony Orchestra ceased operations while I was in school, bummed me out, and the lack of colorful open-minded personalities were lacking in the composition department (hard to believe, I know). The composition profession is essentially a hoax. My current place in music is producing in the vein of the listed influences, though I am discontent playing this music by myself, and I love meeting other talented musicians to help bring me new perspectives and attitudes. Basically Im looking for people that truly love classical music and classically-influenced musicians (which includes those in my list of influences in my opinion) and also has a desire to play live.
