Here's my deal. I am working on a musical project with established musicians in the area that many would recognize. The best way to explain this project would be this way... 80's era post goth alt rock. This sort of thing. If interested I'll give you the list of the first 10 to work on. We have places ready to book and this lends itself to bigger venues with a couple of gigs under our belt.
It's a specialized thing focusing on the show aspects. Basically 8 times a year kind of thing so it won't burn itself out and allows you as a musician to work other fields if you wish. More if the demand is there (it will be). Everyone will have opportunity to own the stage. 90+% of what we play no one else does and there's a core chomping at the bit for a band to do this.
We have people in marketing who will work pro-bono, photography, logo and banner creation and we are ready to go. We are starting to gel but can't progress any further without a LEAD GUITARIST who can and who WANTS to do this. If you can sing then fine but we are NOT looking for a lead vocalist. We need that missing piece and that missing piece is a LEAD GUITARIST.
We generally practice on Monday eve around 7:30 in Timonium. We have pa, practice space and are itching to move on this. We just posted an ad on craigslist as we have not been successful on finding a lead guitarist. Please let me know if you have interest sooner than later. The sooner we crank out the tunes the faster we gig.
If you always wanted to be in a band that plays many songs you'll remember as "I remember THAT song. No one plays THAT song" then you will be right at home. We don't want to be just another cookie cutter safe mainstream band. That's easy. We have edge that people will enjoy. Do you?
We have no false illusions of grandeur. We want to make as many people happy as possible with a show they will remember regardless of age, creed, color or ideology.
