Kill Your Ex is currently a four-piece rock band from Portland Oregon. Among the four members their musical styles and influences differ from metal all the way to a melodic rock sound. Even though the band itself has only been around since the fall of '03, three of the four members had been working together in numerous groups three to four years prior to the forming of Kill Your Ex. After playing in various bands and going through many line up changes, members Joey, Jess, Nick and Joe decided to come together to form what is now Kill Your Ex. The band currently consists of lead guitar and vocalist Joey Rubenstein, drummer Jess Andrews, guitarist Nick Thomas-Low and bassist Joe Colett. Though the band has only been around just shy of a year, they still play very frequently all around local clubs in Portland and Washington and have started to make a name for themselves.
