wanting to start a band, or join one if the right fit is found...

My influences are varied.. from Beatles, the Who, Kinks to Elvis Costello, the Cars, Cheap Trick to Foo Fighters, Butch Walker, Maroon 5 etc, etc, etc....

I play guitar, bass and sing, although I know that my voice lends itself more to the occasional lead vocal and mostly harmonies than actually fronting a band all night.

So, I am looking for...

lead vocalist: Male/Female doesn't matter... Can you SING!? must be comfortable in your own skin as to not be scared to death of the stage;

lead guitarist: my favorite players are blues guys that play rock.. Male/Female doesn't matter. It’s not how many notes you play, or how fast you play, it is HOW you play them;.

drummer: can you keep a steady tempo? I am not looking for Neil Pert, or even Dave Grohl. Just a sit in the pocket and “serve the song” drummer. Male/Female doesn't matter;
.
bassist/rythm guitarist: either would be fine although I would preferably play guitar. In a bassist, I am looking for someone who realizes that bass is NOT a lead instrument. Less is more, hold the root down, lock in with the drummer and move the song ahead. Again, Male/Female doesn't matter…;

Possibly a keyboardist, especially if they were a guitarist as well…;

I am just looking to play good music with good people. Originals, covers, whatever..

I have songs that I would love to play of my own and other people’s as well. I am wide open.. So, drop me a line here or at sites@ryan-butler.com

Later,
Ryan
