I am a writer and artist. I spend a lot of time writing poetry/lyrics. I was in a casual garage band in high school, mostly played the bass but occasionally sang. Never performed with them.
I won the Kurt Cobain Visual Arts Award in high school- while a VISUAL arts award, there was a writing element and one of the pieces I submitted contained musical elements.
I played the Viola seriously from ages 10 to 18. Still retain classical music and composition knowledge, but am no longer technically skilled on the Viola. I have performed in an Orchestra setting and as a classical quartet many times. I also have MINIMAL guitar experience (a single semester of a high school class) I can also beatbox if that interests you?
I am looking to make high energy music with heavy focus on lyricism. I am overall pretty inexperienced with the technicalities of being in a band- setting up gigs, mixing, etc but I have a strong foundation in music and can read (Alto) sheet music (It wouldnt be hard to switch to reading treble or bass)
