I love to sing. As generic as that sounds, it's true! I study on my own and sing as much as I can in order to constantly improve and expand my comfort zone. I have always had big dreams and applied them to a rock cover/originals band, but have decided to take a hiatus to focus on my growing family. But I know it's not the end, because it would be a shame to let my experience, drive, and skills go to waste.
My experience: I trained as a classical pianist for about 10 years and then moved into singing. For two separate church communities, I have managed and led (vocally) the worship band for a few years. Then was the front-lady and lead vocalist of a moderately successful rock cover band for 4-5 years. We eventually moved into writing and recording our own music which involved writing lyrics and vocal melodies to our guitarist's compositions and sometimes starting the composition. Therefore, I am comfortable working with other musicians, being on stage, selecting songs, guiding background vocalists, practicing and singing for hours, and giving feedback on how to improve the overall sound. I really enjoy working with other musicians who are eager to work as a team and improve the songs together through experimentation and fun.
