2021 MIDWEST AUDITIONS FROM 4/26/21 TO 5/25/71
ASTRO SPECTRUM will be conducting VOCALIST auditions by appointment only while traveling throughout the USA north midwest between April 26th and May 25th, 2021. DUE TO COVID AND SCHEDULING, THESE AUDITIONS MAY EITHER BE IN PERSON, VIA ZOOM OR BY OTHER OPTIONS MUTUALLY AGREED UPON.
We are looking for vocalists to work with our composers and recording/video engineers to produce our new music….ODD BRAZZ which is a fusion of blues, rock and jazz with a sprinkle of funk/country/rap and other genres too. The music Is done in odd time signatures like 5/4, 7/4 and some with mixed meters. The brainchild of Ronny Schreff, a professional percussionist, composer and master of odd time signatures. His ODD BRAZZ has been projected by many to become the new music of the 2020s.
We currently have offers and are negotiating with major and independent labels along with negotiating an avant garde route if we consider this to be a more lucrative option for our artists, composers and production groups. Due to Covid, we are over a year late on our planned release dates.
THE PERFECT VOCALIST REQUIREMENTS ARE: From the style of Janis Joplin to Billie Holiday- David Clayton Thomas to Joe Cocker with a good range, blues/jazz phrasing and the ability to improvise the melody and make it your signature sound. However, don’t let this hold you back if you are a talented newcomer looking for a vocal challenge on the yellow brick road over the rainbow of music success.
