ABOUT

I am a 60 year old transplant originally from Memphis. My wife and I relocated to Clarksville from Memphis in Oct. 2009. In Memphis I was in a band that had been playing together for close to fifteen years. We began as a group of friends and some family who got together several times a month to play all of the music we grew up listening to... Beatles, Byrds, Stones, CCR, Monkees, just about anything Motown, Stax or Sun Records put out not to mention the Eagles, the Band, the Everly Bros., Paul Revere and the Raiders or others from that time frame. While I enjoy living in Clarksville I miss playing music with others a lot. I would like to find other musicians with similar tastes and influences to jam with on a regular basis. I am not opposed to playing out but I am not interested in playing bars, honky-tonks or other dives. Life is way to short to have to deal with drunks.

Influences

I love the Beatles, Byrds as well as the Rolling Stones and a lot of stuff from sixties and seventies. I Like about anything and every thing except for Heavy Metal, Ska, Rap or Jazz. I'm not overly fond of Punk but I do like some of Green Day's stuff. I am a fan of the Beatles, Jimmy Buffet, John Prine, Paul Thorn, Dwight Yoakum, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Zac Brown Band and a lot of other bands and artists.

I have several Acoustics Electric guitars and several solid body electrics. I have a few effects pedals and a small 4 channel Carvin PA. I have dabbled in recording. I have an iMac and Mac Laptop and I am still learning how to use GarageBand.
