I've never been in a band before but I do a mean karaoke. Usually getting the entire venue singing along or cheering for me when I hit the notes that no one thinks I'll be able to get. I am a guy, even though my name may not seem all that manly. I'm 33 and I'm into pretty much anything except speed/death metal, new country (the only real country is bluegrass) or hip-hop. Let's just say that all the music presets on my Sirius are set for classic and alternative rock stations. I've thought about doing this for a really long time and now I would like to actually try it. I want to find a band with members who have the same taste in music and, most importantly, a sense of humor. Without a sense of humor, it's hard to make music sound good. Also, you should be really serious about the music but not so serious about yourself and the mistakes that you make...everybody makes 'em.
