ABOUT

I am a studio musician in Detroit area making electronic and experimental music (as a hobby) of many varieties since 1997. I'm looking for collaborators either in the area or remote want to make interesting, artistic electronic music.

The genres I'm interested in are techno, house, drum and bass, orchestral, trip-hop, film scoring, jazz, trance, psytrance, suomisaundi, experimental, big beat, eurodance, yacht rock, latin freestyle, electrofunk, demoscene, chiptune, funk, neo-swing, mambo, electro swing.

I understand music theory and have played in classical/jazz settings as well as electronic/DJ live shows. I can play keyboard but consider my strongest area to be composition. My weak point would probably be sound design and mixing so a collaborator strong in these areas would be ideal.

I have a Record Union account and am able to post songs/albums to streaming services, but personally not interested in marketing on social networks to maximize revenue or build a worldwide following.

I like hardware gear and enjoy digging into the weeds of a particular piece of vintage tech, and like making songs featuring a particular synth.

I've read a lot of books on music history, especially electronic music history and have contributed to the A History of Electronic Music podcast in the past.

I'm open to playing occasional live shows but haven't done so in years.
