Drums.ABOUT
I'm a jack of many trades, master of a few - songwriting, lead vocals, background vocals, vocal arrangement, and acoustic finger style. I can fill in as a lead guitarist, keyboardist, and harpist. I have a classical background on piano - Beethoven, Chopin. I majored in Composition for a year and a half in college, but my passion is performing rock. I'm most at home in a band that emphasizes background vocal harmonies with an upbeat kickass set that gets people on their feet.
I have a vocal range of 2 1/2 octaves easy, high notes with ease and style, D an octave above middle C down to A more than two octaves below. I can sing most Zeppelin and love very expressive stuff.
All the music here and the videos are original material.
By day I'm a senior software engineer with a Masters degree in Computer Science and an undergrad in Electrical Engineering.
I'd like to put together an upbeat rock/country/pop duo using two vocal harmonizers and a drum machine that sounds like a full rock/dance band. I'm looking for a partner who:
* harmonizes easily and enjoys thick, juicy vocal harmonies in - at least - classic rock/country/folk. Think Eagles (Take It Easy, How Long), Linda Ronstadt (When Will I Be Loved, It's So Easy), Beatles, I Think We're Alone Now.
* enjoys performing and has stage presence
* can work with a vocal harmonizer
* plays guitar or keyboard
* has some music theory
* is mature and professional
* ideally lives within 10 miles of 120th & I-25
I want to start small, make a name for ourselves, and when the gigs start rolling in think about adding drums, bass, and a lead guitarist with pyrotechnics. I've been in two bands in Denver that have gigged significantly so I'm not new to the scene.
