I've been a professional vocalist and lyricist playing in bands and doing commercial work for 35 years for the past 10 years I have been a recording artist in the genre of electronic lounge/chillout. Now, I am desiring to start a cutting edge SOUL Project with a progressive electronic edge (that I compose for the music) I have musicians in California that I record with and will perform with out there and looking to find musicians for a live blues band here in NYC. I live in Harlem.

I just became a premium member because, as I said, I have been a My stage name is Soul Sista Shakti - (which Shakti in Buddhism means wisdom) and my sound in the past has been very sensual but not over the top sexy - classy. I have at least 30 tracks out with various record labels and major and independent music publishers in the USA and Europe. I have uploaded a few of them and a lot of the artwork to show more of how the style has been presented. There are countless more if you Google me but I think you get the point. As I said, doing blues for the time being.

Influences

My influences are: Robert Palmer, Sade, Stevie Wonder, Zero 7, FKJ, what used to be known as acid-jazz and I love deep house music. I also am influenced by people like James Taylor - any kind of great music. And of course all the Blues greats.
